The Chinese Bamboo Story - A Lesson in Patience
It was sad when she had to leave. Even sadder when ginny left Ian. Dec 14, Melinda rated it really liked it. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. The title says it all with this one. Ginny really needed patience with Colby. He started out as a very unreasonable, unlikeable character, then did a complete a little more than halfway through the book. I liked him then. In the end, they made a great couple, and it was heartbrteaking that she fell in love with him and his family and then had to leave them. I am a little confused about how they will The title says it all with this one.
I am a little confused about how they will live happily ever after when Ginny moves on. In this book, she inhabits the body of a spoiled brat. I am assuming since Ginny has her memories, she will have Ginny's, but I think she will probably still be a brat. I wouldn't think she would like her new life. Oh well, I am just going to say that Ginny is changing both the hero and the heroine in these stories.
This is is a fun series, and I'm entertained.

The story is more than halfway when the he realizes his mistakes and falls in love with Ginny. I'm sorry that Ginny really falls in love this time and almost forget fantasy to reality.
And will have to leave when all is done. There is only one sex scene at this story that makes me not content with it. This book is concerned more with the emotional aspect of a story, on relationships and fam This book also tested my patience, especially to Colby, which acted like a real jerk almost half the book. Anyway this is an enjoyable read. Sep 02, Avid rated it liked it. A lesson in patience is exactly what Ginny gets in this novel. It's all about waiting. She expects things to go a certain way, as she is brought out to the frontier and married to a stranger. The stranger doesn't really want a wife; he's bitter about his life and just wants someone a governess to take care of his younger siblings.

When the switch is flipped, he and Ginny are forced to wait to consummate their relationship, and then again as they wait for their HEA and the resolution of the dangerous situation. Other characters also have to wait for their relationships to evolve and ripen into love. A good lesson about not getting what you want exactly when you want it.

Oct 07, Jane Geltzer rated it it was amazing. This book in the series was one of my favorites. It was more than a romantic novel as it dealt with themes not abundant in the other lessons. Educational theories are explored as well as bigotry take up a great deal of Ginny's new life.

I loved watching Colby's personality change as he falls for his new wife. The twist of Ginny's amnesia and her memory returning was just a final plot line that added to my enjoyment. A profound romance.
An odd description to apply to a romance, but one that is oddly accurate. Submissions again in the summer of yielded more requests, no results. Will —the magical 7 th year of work on this book—be the year of Misty—or rather, the year of Thomasine? Patience, it seems, does not mean simply waiting. It means continually working to fine-tune, see more deeply, understand, and improve.
Or, at least, learned patience for now. Your email address will not be published. Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
